Ultrasonic cleaning of PCB, electronic board
MORONI ultrasonic cleaning systems of every type have, for years operated alongside the production lines of electrical and electronic devices.
Tanks of a few litres up to automatic systems with numerical control are irreplaceable in various applications in the sector.
Here are a few significant examples:
- Circuit boards after wave soldering
- Circuit boards after repair in the reconditioning phase
- Measuring or control instrumentation during production or maintenance
- Various electronic components
- Silicon wafers for the manufacture of integrated, photovoltaic cells
- Fibre optics and waveguides
- Targeting systems
- Electronic gearbox assembly for motorbikes
Ultrasonic cleaning of electrical and electronic apparatus of all types during manufacturing, maintenance and repair.
Ultrasonic cleaning is used to troubleshoot faults. It is also used to subject any cold welds to stress.
The ultrasonic cleaning of electrical apparatus allows a degree of absolute cleanliness as the ultrasonic waves reach the parts which are most inaccessible.
In some cases, such as the recovery of electrical apparatus from water, ultrasonic cleaning in isopropyl alcohol achieves optimum, almost miraculous, results.
The mechanical action of ultrasound must be modulated based on the fragility of the part to be treated, varying the power delivered by the generator. For improved adaptation to the durability of the parts, varying the frequency (sweep mode) must also be possible.
When cleaning electronic circuit boards and apparatus, following wave soldering, the parts are immersed in water and treated with ultrasound while maintaining the dielectric insulation values.
In extreme case such as: cleaning silicon wafers during the manufacture of integrated circuits, where the treatment occurs in a white room, ultrasonic cleaners are irreplaceable. Personnel assigned to cleaning wear special coveralls for total isolation.
Electrical devices and satellite components are treated with our automatic systems in clean rooms by personnel wearing special clothing.
